EUL Oroko Rise Development

Taupō District Council owns a significant area of land to the south and east of Taupō known as the East Urban Lands (EUL). When fully developed, this area has the potential to accommodate up to 1,600 new residential sections, helping address the district’s growing housing needs.

A key component of this programme is the Oroko Rise development, located on a 116‑lot portion of the EUL. The first stage of Oroko Rise will deliver 62 new homes, marking an important step toward increasing the availability of quality housing in Taupō.

Mātanga Projects has been engaged by Taupō District Council to manage the civil construction for this stage of  development. Supporting us on the ground is Camex Civil, who are undertaking the civil construction works as our appointed contractor.
